CE & CS

Hartron is a govt. company responsible for IT in Haryana.

We worked on several projects. The main project we worked on is related to E-waste management. We were involved in the implementation of the new E-waste recycling guidelines released by the central govt. We worked closely with Vivek Kalia, additional MD Hartron Haryana in the same.

When the new policy was released, we were tasked to suggest edits and improvements to it alongside the various other stakeholders who were tasked with the same. we were involved in the process of empanelment of various vendors – recyclers, refurbishes and dismantlers. We presided over a meeting in which various vendors presented their company details. We subsequently asked questions.

Next, we also conducted a visit to one of the recyclers who was one of the vendors who had presented their company details before and wished to be empanelled by Hartron. Being students of computer hardware and electronics in general, we conducted in depth research into the various processes relating to E-waste recycling. During our visit, we conducted a detailed analysis of the facility, outlining each process and how it was handled in this particular recycling plant. We also noted that several of the processes they used were older, less efficient and should be replaced by newer methods which decrease the amount of waste generated and increases the raw material which can be regained from recycling. We have also released a video for the same on YouTube.

Later on, we were also worked on a portal which is being developed by Hartron to facilitate bidding by various vendors.

1.       Of all the projects which I could have done at Hartron, the project on the effective management of e-waste immediately grabbed my attention. India is one of the largest consumers of electronics and for the management of e-waste, new guidelines were released by the central government in November of 2022. Hartron is the nodal agency of the Haryana govt. for the e-waste management. I worked along with them for implementation of these guidelines in the state of Haryana.

1.     Hartron had invited offers from various vendors – recyclers, refurbishes and dismantlers to work in Haryana. I was involved in the process of evaluation and eventual empanelment of these vendors. It was a completely new experience in which I demonstrated an understanding of the offers submitted by participating firms. I presided over a meeting in which several vendors were presenting their details to Hartron.

During this process of vendor evaluation, I visited one of the recycling facilities owned by an applicant vendor. In this visit, we conducted a detailed analysis of the facility; we took note of the various processes employed by the vendor. Some of these processes were outdated and inefficient, which will have to be replaced by newer methods of recycling which decrease the amount of waste generated and increase the amount of raw material regained.

I have always been interested in the hardware aspect of Computers especially the hardware related to Gaming PCs. I have built several PCs.
Here is me building a gaming PC for my friend in a shop in Chandigarh.

Who am I?

I'm Aviral, and my journey into the realms of history, linguistics, numismatics, and computer engineering started with an unexpected hiccup. At the age of 11, I encountered a confusing "graphics card" error while trying to play "Star Wars Battlefront I" on my sister's old HP laptop. Instead of being frustrated, this experience ignited my curiosity and led me into the fascinating world of computer engineering. I took the initiative to educate myself, diving into countless YouTube videos to understand the inner workings of computers. Eventually, I built my own gaming PC, and the sense of achievement when I successfully launched the game was incredibly rewarding. Beyond computer engineering, my appetite for knowledge extends to the history and evolution of CPUs, from the early Intel i486 to today's powerful processors. I've even shared my passion by building desktop computers for friends and family. Languages have also captured my interest. Whil...
